Evil Mom

This weekend is birthdays galore. Today is this little cutie's b-day:

and tomorrow is this one's:

And you know what? I'm not telling them. SHHH! I don't want them to know!!!! If Mary Sue KNOWS it's her birthday and sees that there is NO cake and NO party decorations, I am totally screwed. So, we are delaying things a bit.

In Moving News, we painted the living room last night (the walls were a disaster when we moved in) and now have our new cheap IKEA couch (only $150!) and a cheap bed for Pa and I. What a difference it makes to have a resting place in a new home.

Oh, and I accidentally taught Edmund the word 'sh*&' this morning. I cracked my head on an open cupboard and immediately cursed. He thought the word sounded fun! Whoops.

Ha ha! I LOVE this.

Paul's parents used to tell him he could stay up until midnight during New Year's Eve. Little did he know, they turned the clocks back and celebrated New Year's at 9:00. He didn't find out until college. I think it's brilliant.

What couch did you get from Ikea? We are looking for one, too.

Hey, I want to know where you're living now! Can you send me an email? If you don't have my regular address you can send it to puznee[at]gmail[dot]com instead.

Also, I LOVE our IKEA couches. I'm glad you found some good ones, too. Oh, and if you don't have a coffee table yet, IKEA has a truly amazing one for $119 - it is solid pine and has six compartments underneath - absolutely perfect for storing toys. Ok, I found a link for you: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30045484

We got the Klobo for our living room (a firm sofa...but I like firm) and a solsta sofa bed for our room (couch by day, bed by night). That is softer.
